CHRIS SUTTON has had a cheeky swipe at Rangers after Celtic were crowned Scottish Premiership winners.

The Hoops landed nine in a row after the SPFL decided to call time on the current campaign due to the coronavirus crisis.

And with Neil Lennon's side taking the title 13 points ahead of Rangers, Parkhead hero Sutton says it was "not even close once again".

He wrote on Twitter: "Well done to Neil Lennon and Celtic on 9 in a row.

"Thoroughly deserved. Serial Winners.

"Not even close once again..."

Newly-crowned Scottish champions Celtic exceeded the goal tallies of four of their previous eight-title winning campaigns despite only playing 30 of their scheduled 38 matches this season.

They had also surpassed their final points total for the second campaign in their current nine-in-a-row run.
