Celtic have managed to tie down their latest starlet Daniel Kelly down on a pre-professional contract following Manchester United and Leicester City interest.

The youngster has been watched by numerous scouts from down south and around the globe including Benfica and Liverpool.

Herald and Times Sport revealed previously that the Hoops had been worried they might lose the creative midfielder to one of football's giants having already been forced to deal with Bayern Munich signing one promising kid in Liam Morrison and the German outfit close to securing a deal for another in Barry Hepburn.

But Kelly has ended speculation by putting pen to paper on a four-year deal.

The 15-year-old is a current student in the St Ninian's High School programme which has helped produce the likes of Kieran Tierney, Mikey Johnston and Anthony Ralston among others at Parkhead.
