Celtic have confirmed Moi Elyounoussi has re-signed a one-year loan deal.
The winger had a successful time in Glasgow last term, scoring seven goals in 20 matches.
Neil Lennon had been hopeful of bringing the player back to Parkhead and the move has now been confirmed.
The Hoops wrote: "Celtic Football Club is delighted to announce that Mohamed Elyounoussi has signed a new season-long loan with the Scottish Champions. The Norwegian internationalist spent last season with the Hoops on loan from Southampton, playing his part in the club’s nine-in-a-row title success.
"The 25-year-old made his debut in a 1-0 win away to Hamilton Accies back in September last year, while he netted the first of seven Celtic goals in a UEFA Europa League group-stage victory over CFR Cluj at Celtic Park.
"He also scored doubles in the 6-0 home win over Ross County and the 5-2 League Cup semi-final win over Hibernian, and he picked up two medals with Neil Lennon’s side last season – the League Cup and the Premiership. And the attacker was part of the first ever Celtic side to win a competitive match in Italy, when the Hoops beat Lazio 2-1 in Rome.
"Celtic fans will be delighted that Moi has returned to Paradise for the 2020/21 season, ready to play his part in what will be a momentous campaign ahead."
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
