Rangers' Ryan Jack has won the club's player of the year award for last season.

The Ibrox midfielder was the outstanding player in the middle for Gers in 2019/20 and has come out on top with the top gong among the Light Blues' players.

Jack, 28, played 40 times last season, scoring five goals.

He told the club's website: "It's a massive honour, a lot of hard work went into the last season and I was happy with my performances over the season. Hopefully I can continue that into next season and make it successful.

"I say a huge thanks, the fans show us great support week in week out, not just myself but the team and staff. I'm sure next season will be no different, we'll need them right behind us and I'm sure they will be. Hopefully we can make next season a special one.

"As a player you always want to improve and get better. This pre-season has been no different. I've had the same mindset, I want to do better and better numbers in goals and assists. I want better performances, so it's work hard and strive towards that. Hopefully as a club and a team we'll do very well next season."

Joe Aribo also picked up the young player of the year. The playmaker, who signed from Charlton Athletic picked up the gong for goal of the season with his strike against Braga in the Europa League.

Aribo notched nine goals in 48 appearances during an incredible debut campaign for the Nigerian internationalist.

First-team fringe star Nathan Patterson was on hand to secure academy player of the year after a good season.
