KEMAR ROOFE will frame his Rangers shirt from his first Ibrox start - despite his name being wrong on the back.

The striker opened the scoring for Steven Gerrard’s side on Saturday as the Gers ran out comfortable 2-0 winners over Kilmarnock.

A printing error meant that he played with ‘Roffe’ on his back and he only picked up on the mistake when Jermain Defoe pointed it out post match.

Roofe won’t pull up kitman Jimmy Bell for the howler and said: “I realised it when I came off and JD told me – I thought he was winding me up!

“I checked and it was so I’ll have to get the players to sign it and put it on my wall. My mum won’t be happy they are changing my name!

“But I’m not messing with Jimmy. I want my daily stories from him. Every day I come to the training ground to get my kit I get a story from him.”
