Lawrence Shankland will play no part for Scotland in their upcoming Nations League clashes.

The Dundee United striker was named in Steve Clarke's squad for the Israel and Czech Republic games but injury has now forced him out.

Terrors assistant Stevie Frail confirmed the news before kick-off this afternoon as his side travelled to Kilmarnock. He told BBC Scotland: "This game coming today and then meeting up with Scotland tomorrow, it would just be too soon.

“Steve Clarke will want his full squad fit and ready to play, and at the minute Lawrence isn’t there."

Clarke may now opt to call up a replacement with Oli McBurnie and new boy Lyndon Dykes as the only two out-and-out strikers.
