Neil Lennon has hit back at Gary Breen after he questioned Shane Duffy's loan move to Celtic.
The former Ireland internationalist appeared on BBC's Off The Ball, insisting that the centre-back's recent move meant Duffy could "pick up bad habits" - adding that Virgil van Dijk's spell at Parkhead left the defender with some "dreadful habits".
Breen also claimed "there is no centre-forward in Scotland who would play in a Premier League team" and that Duffy "is going to be playing against lesser quality and that is a concern".
In his press conference today, Parkhead boss Lennon responded to the claims saying: “Gary’s comments are totally unnecessary, unfounded and there’s no substance to them whatsoever. Completely wrong.
“That’s someone that doesn’t know the game up here”.
