FORMER Rangers striker Shota Arveladze has confirmed he has tested positive for Covid-19.

The 47-year-old is currently the boss of Pakhtakor Tashkent in Uzbekistan and is awaiting a second Coronavirus test.

Writing on his Twitter account, Arveladze said: "I tested positive for Covid 19. I’m currently isolating while waiting for a second test to confirm the results.

"I will keep you updated on how I’m doing. Thanks for your messages."

 

 

Arveladze spent four years at Ibrox and was part of the title winning sides in 2003 and 2005 under the guidance of Alex McLeish.

He is now in his third season with Tashkent following spells with the likes of Maccabi Tel Avid and Trabzonspor.
