GARY MCALLISTER is confident Rangers can follow up their Europa League win with a much-needed victory over Motherwell on Sunday.

The Light Blues set up a play-off round showdown against Galatasaray as they clinched an eye-catching 4-0 success away to Willem II last night.

Now Steven Gerrard’s side head to Fir Park aiming to avoid another Premiership stumble following their 2-2 draw with Hibernian last weekend.

McAllister said: “What I would say is that we are well versed, we have now had two-and-a-bit seasons of coping with Europa League.

“We have had some real positive results at some tough places. The fact that the players have managed that previously and that is a big learning curve.

“I thought [on Thursday night] we looked like a team that was happy and that could cope with that level of opponent. We have got to turn the attention immediately to Motherwell.

“It is a big game for us, we want to keep the run going. So it is a case of enjoy the result, get the rest and recovery and when we come back to training we turn our attentions to a massive three points at Fir Park.”
