NEIL LENNON remains determined to add a left sided player before the transfer window slams shut on Monday night.

The Celtic boss is looking to add a new face after Boli Bolingoli left the club to join Turkish outfit Istanbul Basaksehir on loan.

A number of names have been linked with the Hoops in recent weeks, including Charlton’s Alfie Doughty, Tottenham’s Ryan Sessengnon and Juventus star Mattia De Sciglio.

But Lennon would not divulge on any names when quizzed about the trio.

“We are working feverishly in the background and we do need support there,” he told Herald and Times Sport.

“Boli Bolingoli has gone and Jonny Hayes left in the summer so, Greg is the only one who can really fill that role at the minute.

“He needs support so it’s the one area that we do need to strengthen. There will be a lot of names thrown at us over the next couple of days.

“And from my own experience I know a lot of deals can be done in the last few hours of the window. You will have to watch this space.”

Lennon is also confident that none of his current squad will leave Parkhead before the window closes.

He continued: “It’s fraught, there’s no question of that but I’m really confident we will have all our players here.

“Anyone who has been attracting attention, we are pretty confident now that there will be no business done going out.

“The only real business we want to do is bring one in. There are no bids in for players that I am aware of.”

On a possible new contract for Ryan Christie, Lennon added: “I would imagine that may take wings again after the window closes. But there is nothing to report on that just now.

“The same applies to Odsonne too. Once you get beyond the window you can see where you are financially.

“I think we are in a decent position to be able to offer the boys new contracts so that’s something we will look at down the line.

“Financially, I think we would have been okay even if we hadn’t qualified but getting there just reinforces that.

“We are in a stronger position than if we hadn’t qualified obviously.”
