The former president of the Polish FA has slaughtered Lech Poznan ahead of their trip to Ibrox tomorrow - claiming they were too willing to accept defeat in their first fixture.
The Polish outfit lost 4-2 at home to Benfica last week and Michal Listkiewicz was livid with the reaction. He launched into a tirade against Poznan over the result and post-match comments. Listkiewicz claimed the Portuguese giants barely had to work for their victory against a side 'full of holes'.
And he lambasted the reaction to the defeat, claiming they had made Polish football look like a JOKE. He told local media: "It is so bad with Polish club football that we are happy after defeats? The Lech Poznań defence was full of holes, but I was even more pissed off by the post-match comments.
"There was no shame, because Benfica had to sweat a little to win. It was the same when Legia Warsaw lost 8-4 to Borussia Dortmund. Their coach said nobody had scored four goals in a long time and that there was something to be happy about. There used to be a time when big clubs were afraid to come to Poland."
