ALLAN MCGREGOR 7
Didn’t have a lot to do once again but late stop from Brophy’s free-kick was the pick of his saves.
JAMES TAVERNIER 8
Converted from the spot for his 10th goal of the campaign and produced a solid and steady showing.
CONNOR GOLDSON 7
Another commanding outing for the defender. A vocal presence throughout and rarely under pressure.
FILIP HELANDER 7
Returned to the starting line-up in place of Leon Balogun. A typically reliable performance from the impressive Swedish stopper.
BORNA BARISIC 7
Got forward with real intent and put in some teasing deliveries on another impressive afternoon.
RYAN JACK 8
Put in a real shift to cover plenty of ground in the middle of the park. Used the ball well in an assured performance.
SCOTT ARFIELD 7
His drive in the midfield was crucial for Rangers and he continues to impress.
JOE ARIBO 8
Saw lots of the ball and always looked comfortable on it. Some lovely touches in an entertaining hour.
RYAN KENT 7
Made the wrong choice at times in the final third but was still a threat across the Gers forward line.
CEDRIC ITTEN 8
Given the opportunity to impress and can be pleased with his efforts. Hold up play was good but had few clear chances.
ALFREDO MORELOS 7
Improved as the game went on and had a few openings. Would have expected to get on the scoresheet.
Substitutes:
STEVEN DAVIS 5
(for Aribo, 66) Helped Rangers see out the closing stages.
LEON BALOGUN 3
(for Morelos, 86) Added numbers to the defence late on.
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
