Christopher Jullien has rubbished claims that Celtic stars are no longer playing for manager Neil Lennon - insisting the players are all behind the boss.
Fears had grown that the Northern Irishman had lost the dressing room and that his players were not willing to put in maximum effort amid a torrid run. But Frenchman Jullien has rebuked the notion and insists everyone is behind each other and the club is as unified as it has been since he joined.
The defender did not shy away from the statistics, however, as Celts have won just two of their last 10 games. Instead he said the squad will continue to get their head down and work harder than ever to return to winning ways for their manager, the fans and themselves.
"We know we have to ask questions of ourselves because at the end of the day we are on the field and we’re not accepting these kind of defeats," Jullien said. "We always want to win. The mentality is still the same. We are still good, working together and unified. We are working hard to get back to winning ways.
"We just keep trusting ourselves. We know we are not in a good place right now. It’s going to correct by working hard, together and finding more solutions.
"The dressing room is unified like never before. We are strong together and the players are behind the staff, and the staff are behind us. We are going to do everything to fix the results."
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
