CELTIC PLAYER RATINGS
CONOR HAZARD 6
The goalkeeper well to claim a couple of dangerous high balls into his area despite the weather conditions.
GREG TAYLOR 7
The left back got upfield to initiate and complement Celtic attacks on numerous occasions.
KRIS AJER 7
Lucky not to be punished for an underhit pass to Nir Bitton in the first-half. Excellent otherwise.
NIR BITTON 7
Took over from Christopher Jullien at centre half. Went close to scoring with headers at two first-half David Turnbull corners
JEREMIE FRIMPONG 7
Was a real handful for Hamilton. His crosses and cut backs into the opposition box deserved better.
CALLUM MCGREGOR 7
Pulled the strings for Celtic in the middle of the park.
ISMAILA SORO 7
Retained his place in central midfield after the midweek win over Ross County. Full or energy and good on the ball.
RYAN CHRISTIE 7
The playmaker showed all of his usual quality on the ball and was unlucky not to make it 2-0.
DAVID TURNBULL 7
Played some excellent deliveries into the Hamilton penalty box and volleyed home the third for the visitors.
ODSONNE EDOUARD 9
The big French forward looks back to his very best. Won and converted a second-half penalty. Set up the second with a back heel and had a hand in the third.
LEIGH GRIFFITHS 7
Forced fine saves from Hamilton keeper Kyle Gourlay four times in the first-half. Finally got on the scoresheet with a powerful shot in the second-half.
SUBSTITUTES
ALBIAN AJETI (for Griffiths, 72) 3
Nearly made it 4-0.
PATRYK KLIMALA (for Edouard, 77) 3
Had little to do.
MIKEY JOHNSTON (for Turnbull, 78) 3
More game time for the winger.
MOHAMED ELYOUNOUSSI (for Christie, 83) 3
Unlucky with a late header.
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
