Celtic fans have urged Filip Benkovic to return to Parkhead after Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers opened the door to a loan move.
The Croatian defender has been out of favour this season and had a short-term stint at Cardiff City cut short through a lack of game time. He also spent time on loan at Bristol City last term after an initial spell at Celtic back in 2018.
Former Hoops boss Rodgers recently admitted he would be willing to allow Benkovic to head back to Glasgow to get minutes under his belt, saying: "It's certainly a possibility. It's a huge club and he did very well there. We haven't had any contact but he's back now and we will see what happens.
“Celtic would be a great move for him. He's at the age where he really needs to be playing and that didn't quite materialise at Cardiff."
And with Neil Lennon on the lookout for a centre-half after Christopher Jullien was ruled out for four months with a knee injury, a move for Benkovic could be ideal for all parties.

The player posted a photo of himself working out with the weights on social media earlier this week and Hoops fans bombarded his Instagram page with messages telling him to get back up the road.
One said: "You know where your home is," with a four-leaf clover emoji, and another added: "Come back to Celtic Filip." One wrote: "Back you come up the road," while a fourth commented: "Come back to Paradise."
Benkovic made 27 appearances in all competitions for Celtic, scoring twice.
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
