MOTHERWELL RATINGS
LIAM KELLY 7
Assured performance between the sticks. Dealt with crosses well and looked confident when tested.
STEPHEN O’DONNELL 6
Solid defensively and got forward as much as he could from his right back berth.
DECLAN GALLAGHER 7
Strong in the air and kept tabs on the Rangers attack well. The skipper was rewarded with a well-earned point.
BEVIS MUGABI 6
Marshalled Alfredo Morelos well and chipped in with a couple of key tackles and interceptions.
JAKE CARROLL 6
A threat going forward and was impressive with his back to goal. Lost Cedric Itten for Rangers’ equaliser.
LIAM POLWORTH 7
Battled well in the middle of the park. Kept Motherwell ticking and made good use of the ball when in possession.
ROBBIE CRAWFORD 6
Provided a lot of energy in midfield. Kept going for the full 90 minutes and stood up well against a strong Gers middle line.
ALLAN CAMPBELL 6
Didn’t get forward as much as he would have liked but a tireless shift nonetheless.
SHERWIN SEEDORF 5
A relatively quiet afternoon for the attacker. Struggled to get on the ball and was wasteful at times.
DEVANTE COLE 7
Took his goal well and caused Rangers problems at the top end of the park. Great clearance off the line in the second half.
TONY WATT 7
Linked up well with Cole and provided the assist for Motherwell’s opener. Tidy performance.
SUBS
STEVEN LAWLESS (FOR TONY WATT, 70)
Looked bright after his introduction from the bench. Could be a handy addition for Graham Alexander.
ROSS MACIVER (FOR SHERWIN SEEDORF, 70)
Put himself about in the latter stages. More of a defensive shift.
RICKI LAMIE (FOR LIAM POLWORTH, 80)
On to sure things up defensively in the dying minutes.
BARRY MAGUIRE (FOR ROBBIE CRAWFORD, 83)
On too late to make an impact.

Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
