Kevin Kyle has tipped Rangers to go the Premiership season unbeaten if they can prevent complacency creeping in.
The former Ibrox striker believes Steven Gerrard's men have what it takes to avoid defeat in the league after watching them bounce back from a draw away to Motherwell with a blitz of Ross County the following week.
Their 5-0 win over the Staggies showed Kyle and the rest of Scotland their resilience this term with a 23 point lead opened up over Celtic, too.
With two Old Firm derbies still to be played, Kyle also believes Rangers can be confident of doing the clean sweep over the Hoops this season, which would go a long way towards an undefeated campaign. "I think there's no reason why they can't go unbeaten," Kyle said on Open Goal.
"I think the only way they'll not is down to their own discipline. If they go back to the Old Firm game they won there where Celtic dominated, if Celtic dominate again then it'll make it difficult. But they dominated the last time and didn't win.
"For me, there's absolutely no reason they can't go undefeated but it'll be down to their mindset, in football we all know it's a simple game but it's the psychological part of it.
"Keep the simple things going all the time, don't lose that concentration, keep going and going and I think that's the only thing that will deter Rangers from maybe not finishing the season unbeaten because they had a wee blip, drew with Motherwell but they've came back and absolutely hammered Ross County."
