Allan McGregor 6
Had little to do throughout but was alert when he was called upon.
Nathan Patterson 7
Showed some of the qualities that demonstrate why he is so highly valued at Ibrox but struggled in the air against Serrano.
Connor Goldson 7
A carbon copy of his season, consistent and dominant. Unlucky to have a header ruled out for offside.
Filip Helander 7
Since regaining his place in the side the Swede has hardly put a foot wrong.
Borna Barisic 6
Has been so reliable this term but struggled to get up the pitch and support Kent.
Steven Davis 8
Played at a level above most on the park. So composed for the winner.
Scott Arfield 5
His attributes would normally be well suited to the frantic pace of a match at the Tony Macaroni but he doesn’t quick look back to his best yet.
Glen Kamara 7
His footwork and first touch are a joy to watch even on an astroturf.
Joe Aribo 7 He increasingly looks Rangers’ most dangerous player domestically. So strong and wins almost every one on one.
Alfredo Morelos 9
Was harshly booked when he went down in the penalty area and was excellent in the second period.
Ryan Kent 6
Had a very quiet first-half but livened up as the game wore on. Not up to the heights of his Antwerp exploits.
Substitutes
Cedric Itten 5 (On for Scott Arfield 70) Held the ball up well in stages.
Bongani Zungu 4 (On for Ryan Kent 90) Helped to secure the win.
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
