The lads at Scottish football podcast Open Goal have been given a well earned call up to the Scotland national team squad ahead of the Euros this summer.

In a video released on their social media sites, the Open Goal team all received ‘call-ups’ to Steve Clarke’s squad and they are now being given access to both the men and women's team ahead of the Euros this summer.

With the show becoming a huge hit in the Scottish football world, and a sellout Hydro date still around the corner, fans have been told to “Expect hijinks, behind-the-scenes footage, singing, and hilarious interviews”.

The show’s host, Si Ferry said: “We’re absolutely buzzing to get the call-up to the Scotland squad. We cannot wait to get behind the scenes and see what really goes on in the camp

“We’ve got some class content lined up and we know Scotland fans will be excited to see what we get up to behind the scenes with the squad.

“Making our first major tournament in 23 years was amazing and we can’t wait for the summer.”

The announcement contained messages of support from Lewis Capaldi, Line of Duty’s Martin Compston, football reporter Connie McLaughlin, and  Scotland captain and Liverpool ace Andy Robertson.

Mike Paterson, Head of Marketing and Partnerships at the Scottish FA added: “This is one call-up to the squad we know Scottish football fans will be really excited about.

“I’ve no doubt the content they have planned will really help to build the support, excitement and momentum behind both our Men’s and Women’s National Teams over the next few months and beyond.”
