FORMER Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is the new front runner to land the manager's job at Celtic after holding talks with the club, according to reports.
The 43-year-old Englishman is out of work since qutting his post at the Cherries following their relegation to the Championship in 2020, and has regularly been linked to the job at Parkhead since.
The Glasgow giants' rumoured interest now appears to be a little more concrete with Sky Sports reporting that Howe has held talks with the club's hierarchy over the vacancy.
The Daily Record believe the discussions are going well, reporting that "the parties are in advanced talks".

Howe is the latest name to be suggested for the Celtic job after a flurry of bets were placed on Roy Keane last week.
John Kennedy was placed in interim charge following Neil Lennon's resignation in February and is also believed to be a contender for the role, while Scotland boss Steve Clarke and Manchester City's Enzo Maresca have also been linked with the vacancy.
Howe built his reputation by securing promotion to the Premier League with Bournemouth in 2015 and keeping the provincial club in England's top flight for five seasons.
