Slavia Prague defender Ondrej Kudela continues to deny making a racist slur to Rangers ace Glen Kamara, despite being found guilty by Uefa.

The Czech Republic international was hit with 10-game fine yesterday and will miss the European Championships this summer as a result.

Kamara and his Gers team-mates reacted with fury to the incident last month, with the Finland star later alleging he was called a “ f****** monkey”.

In a statement via law firm Urban & Hejduk, Kudela still strongly denies those claims.

He said: "I am surprised that the UEFA Disciplinary Committee has reached a different conclusion than its inspector before.

"According to him, there was no convincing evidence for the accusation of racism against me, which I continue to reject.

"In retrospect, I realise that it was a mistake to go to Glen Kamara at all and say anything to him. There were emotions in the match and unfortunately I can't take it back now. I'm so sorry."
