HIBERNIAN

MATT MACEY 6

Relatively quiet afternoon for the goalkeeper at the national stadium. Good save from Shankland after his side went 2-0 up.

JOSH DOIG 7

A candidate for Scotland’s young player of the year and he proved exactly why at Hampden. Doig was up and down the left flank throughout and defended well.

PAUL HANLON 6

The skipper marshalled Lawrence Shankland well and won a number of aerial duals ahead of the striker. A dominant display.

RYAN PORTEOUS 6

Booked after some poor defending against Marc McNulty early in the second half. Apart from that a pretty polished performance.

PAUL MCGINN 7

Really strict defensively which allowed Martin Boyle to go and express himself. Never troubled with his back to goal.

MELKER HALLBERG 6

In for Alex Gogic and played the defensive midfield role well. Picked up on plenty scraps in and around the penalty area.

MARTIN BOYLE 6

The winger never got on the ball as much as he would have liked. Despite that he was still a threat on the few occasions he got his foot on the ball.

JOE NEWALL 6

Knocked the ball about well in the middle of the park. Kept Hibs ticking and fed the front two at every opportunity.

JACKSON IRVINE 7

Really clever on the ball. Tidy in possession and put a shift in when United were on the ball too.

KEVIN NISBET 8

Opened the scoring with a neat finish in the first half. Always looked a threat on the ball and caused the Dundee United defence problems all afternoon.

CHRISTIAN DOIDGE 7

The big target man linked play well and fed his strike partner Nisbet at every opportunity. Top finish for his goal, despite being offside.

SUBS

KYLE MAGENNIS (FOR NEWELL, 60) 4

Added plenty energy into the Hibs midfield when introduced.

DARREN MCGREGOR (FOR PORTEOUS, 73) 4

Introduced for a late defensive shift.

JAMIE MURPHY (FOR NISBET, 84) 3

Looked really sharp in the dying stages.
