Shay Logan has bid farewell to Aberdeen fans with a final parting shot at Celtic over his infamous rivalry with the Hoops.

The Dons earlier today confirmed their right-back would be leaving the club after seven years at Pittodrie. He leaves along with a host of other players including Tommie Hoban and Ash Taylor.

Logan had a long-running battle with the Hoops and shared a picture of the moment he was sent-off following Aberdeen's 1-0 win at Parkhead back in 2018 after an altercation with Mikael Lustig.

The 33-year-old has not forgotten the memory and lists "50,000 the amount of heads I lived in rent free at Celtic Park" on his goodbye message for fans of the club.

Bidding farewell with a checklist of his favourite memories, Logan took to social media and said: "Aberdeen a club founded in 1903, 294 appearances. 31st on the all-time appearance list. 8th on the all-time European appearance list. 3 back to back team of the years.

"1 Scottish Cup League Cup 15 goals. 50,000 the amount of heads I lived in rent free at Celtic Park. Did I leave my mark I'll let the fans be the judge of that.

"Special mentions to Derek McInnes, Tony Docherty and Stewart Milne for bringing me to this great club and wonderful city. And to the people behind the scenes who people don't see or hear from who practically run the club Lisa Sheran, Steven Gunn, Amy Thomson you people I'll never forget, nothing but love for you all and you made my time so welcome.

"I guess this is me signing out for the last time as an Aberdeen player but I can honestly say I gave it my all."
