Celtic have confirmed the signing of Watford's Bosun Lawal.

The promising defensive prospect joins up with the Hoops' B-team under Tommy McIntyre with a view to impressing with the youngsters and moving up.

Lawal, 18, signs a three-year deal at Parkhead.

The Republic of Ireland under-21s cap was pictured outside the stadium last week and put pen to paper while the squad were in Wales with new manager Ange Postecoglou.

Herald and Times exclusively revealed he was set to sign his deal and that Chelsea, Norwich and Fulham were interested in Lawal but were unable to make a move due to a tribunal which would have occurred over his price tag.

Celtic paid a cross-border fee in the region of just £120,000.
