MICHAEL STEWART has weighed in on the news that Chris Sutton and Neil Lennon have been denied access to Ibrox.
Rangers this afternoon told BT Sport that the former Celtic striker and manager respectively would NOT be granted entry into the stadium to work for the broadcaster.
The TV company has lined up the Hoops heroes to be apart of their punditry team for the Europa League doubleheader.
Celtic take on Real Betis in the early kick-off at 5.45pm, while Rangers host Lyon in Glasgow at 8pm.
But Sutton revealed on social media that Gers CEO Stewart Robertson has informed the pair that they would be "security risks", and so they could not take up their roles in BT's studio within the stadium.
This sparked the former Blackburn and Chelsea striker to blast the club's 'Everyone, Anyone' campaign.
And BBC football's Michael Stewart has now passed his thoughts on the matter.
He wrote on Twitter: "If Chris and Neil are a security risk, what's to stop an opposition player or coach being in the same position?"
A BT statement reads: "We had hoped that Darrell Currie and the team would be able to present the coverage of both the Celtic and Rangers UEFA Europa League games live from Ibrox this evening, as we have done in the past.
"Rangers have since raised security concerns and so we have had to change our plans. This evening Paul Dempsey will now present our UEFA Europa League coverage of Real Betis v Celtic alongside Stiliyan Petrov live from the BT Sport Studio in Stratford. Darrell Currie, Ally McCoist and David Weir will present Rangers v Lyon live from Ibrox.”
