DUNDEE striker Alex Jakubiak is facing weeks on the sidelines after sustaining a dislocated shoulder in a nightclub bust-up.

The 25-year old was taken to hospital on Saturday evening after the altercation.

The incident is believed to have taken place at Underground club in the city centre on Saturday evening.

It took place a matter of hours after the Englishman had come off the bench in Dundee's’ 1-0 defeat to Rangers at the Kilmac Stadium.

The Scottish Sun say Jakubiak fled the scene in a taxi but required treatment at the city’s Ninewells A&E Department.

No complaint has been filed to police regarding the incident as of yet.

The striker made just five appearances last term, and is only recently available again after rediscovering his fitness.

Jakubiak has suffered muscle and Covid issues so far in the opening period of this campaign.
