POLICE are probing a "small number of missiles" thrown from the stands during Rangers' draw with Aberdeen.

Cops are investigating after reports that items had been lobbed towards the pitch during the 2-2 draw at Ibrox.

Footage posted by Aberdeen of Scott Brown and his team-mates celebrating the second goal appears to show a drink flying towards the players.

It appears the drink is thrown from the stands occupied by Rangers supporters and empties in the air as it's hurled towards the group of players.

In the video Aberdeen youngster Dean Campbell appears to attempt to catch the drink before it falls to the ground.

Now cops are investigating the incident with a probe into reports of a number of 'missiles' thrown towards the pitch.

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed: "Enquiries are continuing following a report that a small number of missiles had been thrown towards the pitch at the match last night."
