GIOVANNI van Bronckhorst has reportedly arrived in the UK for talks with Rangers chiefs over the vacant manager position at Ibrox.

The 46-year-old is the leading candidate to take over the reigns from Steven Gerrard following his departure to Aston Villa on Thursday.

We told you last night how the Dutch legend was set to meet the Rangers hierarchy this weekend for discussions.

Former Chelsea manager Frank Lampard and Rino Gattuso are also under consideration by the champions, who are eager to make an appointment before the Premier Sports Cup semi-final with Hibernian next weekend

Now, according to the Daily Record, van Bronckhorst has landed in London ahead of the talks.

He will outline his vision to the Rangers chiefs during the meeting, as he aims to land the top job at Ibrox.

It's believed the former Feyenoord gaffer will seek assurances that he will have money to spend to bolster Rangers' squad in January.

Sporting director Ross Wilson is heading up the search.
