LEIGH GRIFFITHS says he is delighted to be at Falkirk after signing a short-term deal with the League One club.

The former Celtic and Dundee hitman admits he had a few offers on the table after becoming a free agent last week.

His contract at Celtic expired at the end of the January window, while he rejected an extended stay with loan club Dundee.

Now, having made his first sub appearance for new club Falkirk, the one time Scotland star wants to do his talking on the pitch.

He told Falkirk TV: "I am delighted to be here and buzzing to get back on the pitch again and play football.

"When I was 13/14 I was here for two or three months but listen it is great to be back and I just want to let my feet do the talking on the pitch. They didn't have to sell anything.

"It's not about where they are in the league or what league they are in. It's about football and try help Falkirk win football matches.

"I spoke to the manager and Kenny [Miller] and they couldn't speak highly enough of the club.

"Every manager and assistant is going to have their sales pitch. I had a few offers on the table but Falkirk was the one that stood out for me.

"The opportunity to play games and enjoy my football again. It's something I have not done over the last few months."

The Bairns won 3-0 against Alloa last night to put them within two points of the play-off positions.
