LIEL ABADA says he is out to top the best atmosphere of his career so far by helping Celtic to shoot down Rangers on Sunday.

If Celtic were to defeat Rangers this weekend, they would take a nine-point lead at the top of the league table with just three games to play, with Ange Postecoglou’s men also enjoying a vastly superior goal difference over their city rivals.

A victory would also ensure that it would be party time at Celtic Park, and having got a taste of that atmosphere when scoring his side’s third goal in the 3-0 win over Rangers in February, Abada is hoping the experience after the match on Sunday will be even better.

“It was such an amazing atmosphere,” Abada said. “It’s always fun to score against Rangers. It’s a great feeling to score against your biggest rivals.

“I was happy to give the supporters a big result. The most important thing was we won’t the game and collected the three points.

“Was it the best atmosphere I have experienced? Of course. I’m only 20 and I played in some big games in Israel. But this was amazing. If we win on Sunday, could it be even better? Of course.

“The atmosphere is always amazing inside Celtic Park but if we win the championship? I don’t even know what it will be like.

“We can talk about that afterwards, so the focus is on Sunday and completing our goal.”

Abada says that a win over Rangers would be a great way to thank the Celtic fans for their support throughout the campaign as they looked to regain the title they lost to the Ibrox outfit last season.

“It’s been a really good season for us but we have a goal and we need to complete it,” he said.

“We have to focus on an important game on Sunday. We want to play at high level and we try to win everything.

“This is Celtic and we play for the fans. If we take the championship it will be a dream season for us.”
