LEIGH GRIFFITHS will leave Falkirk upon the expiry of his short-term deal, the club have confirmed.

The former Celtic striker joined the Bairns on a deal until the end of the season earlier this year.

The one time Scotland star spent the first half of this term on loan at Dundee.

However, after being sent back to Celtic in January - and his Parkhead deal terminated - Griff was a free agent.

He joined Falkirk under Martin Rennie, scoring twice in 12 appearances for the League One outfit.

In a club statement this afternoon, though, the Bairns have revealed Griffiths will be leaving.

It reads: "The Club wishes to thank each player for their service and wishes them the very best for the future."

Griffiths will be joined by the following players in also leaving the Falkirk Stadium; Robbie Mutch, Paul Dixon, Aaron-Taylor Sinclair, Cammy Williamson, Mackenzie Lemon, Gary Miller, Charlie Telfer, Ben Weekes, Samuel Ompreon.
