JON MCLAUGHLIN is confident Rangers are on the right track under new boss Michael Beale after making it three from three in the Premiership with victory over Ross County.
A John Lundstram strike secured all three points in Dingwall as Rangers followed up their wins over Hibernian and Aberdeen with a comfortable success.
Attentions have now turned to the visit of Motherwell on Wednesday evening before the second Old Firm showdown of the campaign on January 2.
McLaughlin returned between the sticks to deputise for Allan McGregor on Friday night and is pleased with the progress that has been made during the first weeks of Beale's reign.
McLaughlin said: "It is very positive. We know that there is a lot of work to do, we know that these games are maybe not so pleasing on the eye all the time.
"At the end of the day, since the new gaffer has come in it has been clear that we needed to get wins on the board and it was going to be a big three or four games we had to come through with very difficult away ties back to back. We are very pleased to come away with another three points.
"Of course it is always difficult. It is no joke when people say it is tough to come to these kind of places, especially at this time of the year and night games back to back away to Aberdeen and Ross County on the back of a really tough game at home.

"You could see that we are having to give absolutely everything out there, we are having to focus for 96, 97 minutes and when you throw in new management and a new coaching staff... Thankfully it is someone we have worked with before for a lot of the players and someone who was incredibly good at getting his point across, his way of playing across.
"Working really hard every day on the training field in that break that we had to try and get it so that we could hit the ground running. We looked to have done that.
"Of course there is always going to be work to do and things you want to improve and be better. But at this time of year, all things said and done, we are really happy with the three wins."
