Joe Wright has committed his future to Kilmarnock.
The centre-back has signed a new two-year deal to extend his stay at Rugby Park.
The Englishman will stay put in Ayrshire until the summer of 2025 after agreeing to new terms at Killie.
The 28-year-old has become a key figure for Derek McInnes' side since joining last summer as a free agent.
The former Doncaster defender has made 30 league appearances to date, scoring five goals.
He spent over a year out of football before signing for Killie last year.
And he insists that decision has paid off, as he revealed he was desperate to stay put with the club.
Joe Wright said: “After a period out of the game, I knew that my next move was going to be an important one and it quickly became clear that joining Kilmarnock is the best decision I could possibly have made.
“It felt like a brave decision to move up North at the time, but I can’t speak highly enough of the staff, fans, and boys in the dressing room who made it easy to seamlessly settle in.
“As I’ve said before, working under the gaffer has been an absolute pleasure and I know that the way he operates will continue to get the best out of me, so I’ve been desperate to extend my stay here for a while.”

It follows on a matter of days after Kyle Vassel also penned a fresh two-year deal with Killie.
The striker had initially joined on a six-month contract after joining the club on a free in January.
With every week, the former Rotherham and Blackpool striker looks sharper and more of a threat.
McInnes will be hoping the 30-year-old has his shooting boots on tomorrow as Killie look to win their first away league game of the season against St Mirren.

Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
