Lewis Stevenson has urged Hibernian to prepare for five ‘cup finals’ as they target European qualification.

The Easter Road side squeezed into the top-six on their last outing as a 1-1 draw against St Johnstone was enough to keep them above Livingston in seventh.

They sit fifth and now take on St Mirren this weekend with just goal difference separating them from the Buddies in sixth.

A win for Celtic in the Scottish Cup final against Inverness Caley Thistle will mean fifth place is enough to win a place in next season’s Europa Conference League.

And Stevenson hopes Lee Johnson’s side can prevail as they prepare for a huge few weeks in the top-six.

He said: “We’ve got five cup finals, as they say.

“Every game is going to be brilliant. I’m sure the atmosphere is going to be great.

“We’ll give it everything we’ve got but we need to be better with the ball than we were against St Johnstone.

“It wasn’t pretty. I felt bad for both sets of fans watching that, but it might be a big point.

“We want to kick on and keep that momentum going for the last five games of the season.”
