SCOTLAND are back in Euro 2020 qualifying action this week but, in truth, there isn't all that much to play for.

A trip to Russia awaits Steve Clarke's team before a home tie against San Marino on Sunday but with automatic qualification looking increasingly unlikely, it will be the performances that Scotland put in - and not necessarily the results - that will be of most interest to the Tartan Army as the national side prepare for the play-offs.

Here's everything you need to know ahead of the match against Russia.

Where is the game taking place?

The match will go ahead at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium.

What time is kick-off?

The game will get under way at 7:45pm UK time on Thursday 10 October.

Is it on TV?

Yes. Sky Sports Football will be broadcasting the match live, with their coverage beginning at 7pm.

What are the pre-match odds?

The home side are the odds-on favourites to pick up thee points, with most bookies offering odds of around 8/15 for a Russian win. If you're feeling optimistic and fancy Clarke to pull off an upset, though, Scotland can be backed at around 6/1.

What's the latest team news?

The Scotland squad has been plagued with drop-outs and call-offs, and there are a couple of areas of the pitch where the national team will be weakened. Mikey Devlin and Charlie Mulgrew are expected to start in central defence, and one of Johnny Russell, Oli Burke or Lawrence Shankland - who has been called up to the squad for the first time - will lead the line in attack.
