Lazio ordered to close section of stadium for Celtic match
Celtic fans will not be barred from their side's Europa League clash with Lazio next week, after the Italian club were sanctioned by UEFA. UEFA have revealed that while a section of the stadium will be closed for the tie, Celtic's away allocation will not be affected by the decision.

Celtic winger James Forrest has admitted that it feels unusual not to be in first place in the Scottish Premiership after Rangers overtook Neil Lennon's side at the table's summit a fortnight ago. He said: "It’s a bit strange not being at the top of the table because it’s around 10 months since that was last the case. But it keeps us on our toes because we know that if we slip up then Rangers are winning regularly so it’s vital that we take the three points off Ross County on Saturday."
Rangers youngster nets winning goal against Germany under-19s
Dundee's Josh McPake, who is on loan at Dens Park from Rangers, scored the game's only goal as Scotland ground out a 1-0 win over Germany under-19s last night at Firhill. The goal came at the end of the first half and means that Scotland top their group at this early stage of the qualifying campaign.
Hickey set for new Hearts deal
17-year-old Aaron Hickey is set to be offered a new contrac at Tynecastle, with Hearts boss Craig Levein revealing that negotiations between the club and the player are ongoing. He told the Edinburgh Evening News: "I’m still working on it. I want to just try and get it done with his dad and then I’ll talk about it."
Beattie: Shankland would be perfect fit for Celtic
Former Celtic striker Craig Beattie reckons his old club should approach Dundee United for the services of in-form forward Lawrence Shankland - and thinks he would be better suited to Celtic than to Rangers. Beattie said: "I think he's good enough for Celtic and he suits Celtic's style more than Rangers'. I think he'd be more suited to Celtic and he could quite easily go into Celtic and do a job there."
'Gerrard has raised standards at Ibrox'
Former Rangers defender Clint Hill has insisted that Steven Gerrard has vastly improved his old club on and off the park - and reckons that there has been 'massive' change since he was at the club. The former defender said: "Over the course of the 18 months since I left, the squad seems a lot stronger. Steven has now managed to get a lot of his own players into the squad and also managed to get his ideas across on how he wants to play."
Neilson 'close' to new Tannadice contract
Dundee United manager Robbie Neilson is on the brink of signing a new deal to extend his stay on Tayside, according to the Scottish Sun. The 39-year-old said: "We have had a chat about my contract and hope to make an announcement towards the end of this week."

Haring set to return for Rangers clash
Hearts' combative Austrian midfielder Peter Haring is set to return to the first team for this weekend's visit of Rangers, according to the Daily Record. Haring, 33, has not featured for Levein's side since last season's 2-1 defeat to Celtic in the Scottish Cup final.
