Celtic are among the cleanest clubs in Europe after a published report showed they commit less than ten fouls per game.

The Hoops may be two points ahead at the top of the Scottish Premiership but they've managed to lead the pack despite conceding the least number of fouls per match in the league, according to CIES Football Observatory.

Neil Lennon's troops have committed just 9.50 fouls per game in 2019/20 - making the top ten list of the cleanest clubs in Europe. Liverpool top the table with just 8.1 fouls against them while other clubs ahead of Celts in the rundown include Newcastle, Bayern Munich and Bournemouth.

Celtic committed 24 percent less fouls than average in the Scottish Premiership. Rivals Rangers, meanwhile, committed 11 fouls per match, making number 61 on the list. Gers' percentage, as compared to the average in the league, made up 12 percent.

The average number of fouls conceded in the Premiership is 12.49. Aberdeen are statistically the dirtiest club in the top tier of Scottish football, committing 15.0 fouls per game. Hearts are close by in second dirtiest with an average of 14.48 per match.
