Ireland duo Robbie Brady and Jeff Hendrick are reportedly being targeted by Celtic boss Neil Lennon.

The pair who are currently playing their football at Burnley in the Premier League are out of contract at the end of the season and are yet to agree a new deal. This would mean they could leave the club on a free at the end of the season.

Reports from TEAMtalk say wide-man Brady is being eyed as a replacement for out of contract Jonny Hayes, but English giants Newcastle are also reportedly keeping tabs on the player.

Burnley have opened talks with central midfielder Hendrick over a new deal, but with other clubs swooping the 28-year-old might make the decision to exit the Clarets. He’s played over 100 games under Sean Dyche after switching from Derby in 2016.

Newcastle might have the upper hand in trying to sign the duo with Magpies boss Steve Bruce having signed Brady for Hull City from Manchester United. Their relationship could play a key role in a deal being penned.

We also told this week how Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard was being targeted by Newcastle for a transfer fee of £30 million.

The French under-21 international has also been linked with Arsenal, but it remains to be seen whether the Hoops can tie him down on a new bumper deal.

Rangers ace Alfredo Morelos has also been linked with the Toon as the St James’ Park side look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the return of the football season.
