Driver rescues passengers from bus fire in Edinburgh

A driver has rescued three passengers from a bus after it burst into flames in Edinburgh.

The Lothian Bus was travelling along Slateford Road when the incident happened just before 4pm.

The number 35 bus had been heading towards Ocean Terminal.

The fire has been extinguished and the bus taken to a depot for a "full inspection".

Nobody was hurt during the incident.

Lothian Buses said it was a "rare" incident.
