FOLLETT — EDWARD (EDDIE). At home, on 30th January 2016, Eddie, beloved husband of the late Doreen, loving father of Allan and Stephen, proud grandpa of Joakim and Ethan. Eddie will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Funeral service to be held at Clydebank Crematorium, North Dalnottar on Tuesday, 16th February at 1.30pm, to which all family and friends are invited. No flowers please, but donations, if desired, to Alzheimer Scotland.

It is with sadness that I learned of the passing of Dr. E.A.C. Follett. 50 years ago Eddie was one of my first bosses at the Medical Research Unit's Institute of Virology at Glasgow University. He was a quiet, kind, supportive and knowledgeable mentor and I believe we enjoyed working together in our lair in the basement which housed the electron microscope ! Those early years furnished me with many skills helping me to sustain a long and varied career in medical research. I am very grateful. My sincere condolences go to Eddie's family.
