The Hobbit:

The Desolation Of Smaug (12)

Part two of Peter Jackson's bloated, three-part adaptation of The Hobbit comes to DVD as the journey continues for Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) and his company of dwarves. Here they encounter yet more spectacular scenery, plus the fearful dragon Smaug. Benedict Cumberbatch, Evangeline Lilly, Ken Stott and Orlando Bloom are among a stellar supporting cast - and of course Ian McKellen as Gandalf.

Teenage (E)

Inspired by rather than based on Teenage, Jon Savage's book about the pre-history of the teenager, Matt Wolf's documentary charts the emergence of youth culture from the turn of the century onwards. Among the subcultures he tackles are the Bright Young Things and the Hitler Youth.

A Long Way From Home (12)

James Fox stars in this debut feature by Virginia Gilbert as an elderly man who retires to France with his wife Brenda (Brenda Fricker), only to find life in the sun isn't quite what he thought it would be. Into his world comes another couple - younger, more glamorous - in the form of holidaymakers Mark (Paul Nicholls) and Suzanne (Natalie Dormer, from Game Of Thrones). Fox is his usual magnetic self and there's more than a touch of Joanna Hogg's Archipelago to it all (it's even the answer to a crossword clue Brenda reads out in the opening scene).

Wonderwall The Movie: Digitally Restored Collector's Edition (15)

An attempt to cash in as Britpop's 20th anniversary approaches? Possibly. What is clear is that the link between this 1968 curio and Oasis goes little further than the fact that George Harrison did the soundtrack and Noel Gallagher pinched the title for his song of the same name. Still, it does feature Jane Birkin as a character called Penny Lane, there's a cameo from Anita Pallenberg and it's pleasingly (and sometimes comically) psychedelic.
