A possible career best performance from Marion Cotillard in this 2014 film from Cannes favourites and two time Palme d'Or-winners Luc and Jean-Pierre Dardenne. Cotillard plays Sandra, a woman on the verge of losing her low-paid factory job unless she can persuade her colleagues to reject a bonus offer from management. It's more exciting than it sounds, though, as you'd expect from the Belgian masters. Out tomorrow.

Taking a bold and imaginative approach to the rock documentary form, film-makers Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard stick their subject behind the wheel of a car and have him drive through his adoptive home town as he reflects on his life. The place is Brighton, the man is Nick Cave, writer, musician and composer. Contributors include Bad Seeds bandmate Warren Ellis, he of the prodigious beard, and Kylie Minogue. Out tomorrow.
