The Scottish Album of the Year (SAY) Award's public vote opened from midnight last night.
The voting period last until midnight on May 27, giving music fans around the world more than 72 hours to choose their favourite album from The SAY Award long list. The public's choice will be guaranteed a slot on shortlist, which is to be revealed at a public reception in the CCA, Glasgow on the evening of May 28.
Potential voters have been able to stream the 20 longlisted titles in full and for free over the past four weeks at www.sayaward.com.
The album with the most votes at midnight tomorrow will automatically make the list, earning a guaranteed £1,000 and the chance to be named Scottish Album of the Year 2015 if it goes on to claim the £20,000 first prize. The winner of the public vote will join nine other shortlisted titles chosen by The SAY Award's independent judging panel.

A new book which brings together more than 20 pieces related to the late Hamish Henderson [pictured] is to be launched at the Scottish Storytelling Centre tomorrow at 6pm. Anent Hamish Henderson: Essays - Poems - Interviews celebrates "Scotland's leading folklorist of the twentieth century, remarkable poet and songwriter, and political activist."
Edited by Eberhard 'Paddy' Bort, the book includes contributions from Keith Armstrong, Margaret Bennett, Ray Burnett, David Daiches, Lesley Duncan, Archie Fisher, George Gunn, William Hershaw, John Lucas, Richie McCaffery, Geordie McIntyre, Dolina Maclennan, Alison McMorland, Ewan McVicar, Andrew Means, Donald Meek, Colin Nicholson, Mario Relich, Jennie Renton, Raymond Ross, Donald Smith and Sheena Wellington; and art work from Howard Glasser, Tom Hubbard, Allan McMillan, Jan Miller and Timothy Neat.

The first National Busking Festival is holdings its opening gala concert on June 12. The event takes place from 7.30pm at Cowane's Hospital in Stirling.
The event will feature music from various artists as well as some special guests. It will also feature, organisers say, "some of the top busking talent to grace the streets of Stirling."
Over the weekend of the festival Stirling will have buskers at three busking "hubs", ending with the first National Busking Awards.
The opening gala has hot food and a bar.

Ten centuries of Scottish history is to be celebrated in a new event in June.
Rock of Ages is to be based at Dumbarton Castle Rock and Pier Park and will see around 100 historical costumed performers and re-enactors from across the country take to the ancient stronghold on June 13 and 14 to portray key moments throughout history, from Viking visitors through the centuries up until the Second World War.
A 10% discount is available for bookings made in advance online and tickets for the event can also be bought on the day.
