Edinburgh's Playtime jazz sessions begin again on Thursday [January 15], when bassist Tom Lyne (pictured) joins Playtime regulars, saxophonist Martin Kershaw and guitarist Graeme Stephen.
Canada-born Lyne has been based in Scotland since the 1990s and has worked with pianist David Milligan's trio, singer Fionna Duncan, jazz twins Phil and Tom Bancroft and folk musicians including Simon Thoumire and Martin Green, of Lau. The Playtime sessions take place in The Outhouse, Broughton Street Lane and the music begins at 8pm.
