Stars are arriving on the red carpet at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow for the MTV Europe Music Awards.
U2, Alicia Keys and Ed Sheeran are set to perform at the ceremony, hosted by US rapper Nicki Minaj.
Ed Sheeran said he was looking forward to a night out in Glasgow and had fond memories of when the Mobos were in the city.
Ed said: "I think everyone knows that Scotland is a good night out. I had a really good night last time."
And singer Amy MacDonald said she was sure Glasgow would put on a show, and was looking forward to seeing rocker Slash perform.
She said: "I'm just here as a spectator so I'm looking forward to the party.
"And I'm sure that Glasgow will put on a show. The people here are just so friendly, they just want to have fun and want everyone to do well."

And Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro talked to us about Friday's pre-EMA gig with Slash at the O2 Academy.
James Johnston said: "We got asked if we wanted to play a gig with Slash and it's an easy answer."
Brother Ben added: "I think it's a real privilege for Glasgow to have the EMAs and I think we are going to make Glasgow proud."
Ben also said Biffy Clyro were looking forward to their Barrowland gigs.
He said: "It'll round off the year, the gigs at the Barrowlands. There are a lot of songs we have to relearn.
"We let the fans pick the set and they've picked a few spicy numbers.
"I think we'd forgotten how incredible the Glasgow crowd is and we're going to be reminded of that in a few weeks."

Ariana Grande, who has six nominations at tonight's EMA awards said she was nervous about performing, but excited to be in Glasgow.
When asked if she thought she could win, the singer said: "I'm up for six and my fans are amazing. But it's not about that, I just want my fans to be happy.
"I'm just excited to be here and excited to see everyone and what they are wearing and performing.
"I don't know what anyone else is doing."

Sharon Osbourne gave her opinion on the X Factor as she passed saying: "Mel B is the only one with a real opinion. Everything else is bulls**t"

Singer Jess Glynn also said she was really looking forward to the EMAs.
She said: "I have never been to one of these before so I'm pretty excited.
"You watch these things on telly but it's different when you are finally here. I feel like a normal person but people are shouting my name."
