n THE Michael Clark Company will perform a world premiere at The Tramway in Glasgow in October.

The company will perform a double bill of new work choreographed to specially commissioned music. The production will include lighting design by artist and film-maker Charles Atlas and costumes by Stevie Stewart, formerly of Bodymap.

n AS part of its centenary programme, the Hippodrome in Bo'ness will present a special event on Saturday, delving in to the story behind Hitchcock's never-made Titanic film. Titled Dial T for Titanic, the event will be presented by Professor Charles Barr, a film historian and authority on Hitchcock.

n EASTGATE Theatre in Peebles will host its first children's arts festival this October. The week-long festival, called The Imaginarium, is aimed at three-18-year-olds and is funded by Creative Scotland. Leading poets, artists and songwriters will be involved, alongside arts companies such as Scottish Youth Theatre, Scotland's National Youth Dance Company Y Dance and Borders Youth Theatre.

n ABERDEEN Arts Centre is holding auditions for its 2012 Christmas pantomime Little Red Riding Hood on October 7. The pantomime has a 23- performance run, starting on December 5. It is a modern twist on the traditional fairytale, with Wilma Gillanders directing.
