Police are investigating allegations Baywatch star Jeremy Jackson pulled former glamour model Chloe Goodman's bathrobe open in the Celebrity Big Brother house.

Jackson, 34, was kicked off the Channel 5 show after former Page 3 girl Goodman, 21, claimed he drunkenly tried to look at her breasts while the two were alone in the toilet.

Sobbing, the glamour model told housemates: "I was helping him and he went to my dressing grown top and put my boob out."

The alleged incident, which was not shown on camera, came after Goodman went to Jackson's assistance as he vomited after mixing rum and vodka.

Hertfordshire Police, the force covering Borehamwood where the Big Brother house is, confirmed they are working with the show's producers to probe what had happened.

A spokesman said: "We have been made aware of an alleged incident having taken place in the Big Brother House in Borehamwood in the early hours of Saturday January 10.

"We are currently working with the programme's producers as part of our inquiries. It would be inappropriate to comment any further at this time."

Following the drama, Jackson initially defended himself saying he had not groped her body and that he did not think she was naked under the robe.

"She tried to make a pass at me and I grabbed the tip of the robe to see if she was naked," he told housemates.

Later he apologised but insisted that he had not ripped open the robe in an aggressive way.

He said: "Believe it or not I'm being silly, I'm too emotionally wounded to really even gauge any real relationship-type flirtation or pass at a woman anyway right now - I'm just not that guy."

Big Brother initially arranged for Jackson to sleep in a separate area, but decided to remove him the following day for his "wholly unacceptable" behaviour.

He has reportedly flown back to the United States.

Concerns had already been raised among the contestants over the American's erratic behaviour.

Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton had commented that his fellow countryman was not "mentally stable" and described him as "borderline scary".

Jackson, who played the son of David Hasselhoff's character Mitch Buchannon on Baywatch, is well-known for his troubled personal life.

He was arrested in 2000 for manufacturing methamphetamines and has been to rehab five times.
