Sir Terry Wogan, Nick Grimshaw and Fearne Cotton are among stars who want the nation to rise to the challenge by baking cakes to raise cash for BBC Children In Need.
The stars are each championing a classic cake and asking viewers to choose their favourite then sell their own version in baking sales.
Alex Jones, Tess Daly and Matt Baker are also hoping Brits will pull on their pinnies and get out their mixing bowls for the annual fundraising drive which is being staged on November 14.
Sir Terry - who is Children In Need's lifetime president - is leading the charge for lemon drizzle cake. He said: "My own wife's lemon drizzle cake is a thing of beauty, so I am asking you, the Great British public, to get behind me and bake, bake, bake, to make a lemon drizzle to remember, for BBC Children In Need this year.
"Think of all the money we can raise together for disadvantaged children and young people all across the UK."
Fearne is backing carrot cake, Matt is behind fruit cake, Tess wants the nation to try a Victoria sponge and Grimmy favours chocolate cake.
Alex, who is rounding up support for Battenberg, said: "Whatever team you decide to join will go on to help make a difference."
David Ramsden, chief executive of BBC Children In Need, said: "This year we hope that everyone will have fun and raise money that really will change the lives of disadvantaged children and young people by baking or doing lots of other amazing things."
The fundraising pack is available at bbc.co.uk/Pudsey. To date, the public has raised more than £740 million for the charity, which helps disadvantaged young people.
