Tennis: Wimbledon 2015, BBC Two, 11.30am/Tennis: Wimbledon 2day, BBC Two, 8.30pm

Weather permitting (and good weather is by no means a given even at this time of year), Sue Barker hosts coverage of the opening day of this year's Wimbledon tournament - or the 129th All England Championships to give it its Sunday name.

Among those beginning their campaign today is Novak Djokovic, who beat Roger Federer in last year's epic five set final to lift his second Wimbledon title. Meanwhile Andy Murray will be looking to add another major to his name and take back the title he won so memorably in 2013 - and lost so disappointingly a year later when he went out at the quarter final stage to Gregor Dimitrov. It was the first time since 2008 he had failed to reach the semis, but he'll be heartened by a strong showing at the recent Queen's Club tournament, the Wimbledon curtain raiser which he won for a fourth time a week ago. Coverage of the opening matches runs all day on BBC Two and parallel coverage begins on BBC One at 1.45pm, which is where you can go to watch Novak Djokovic as he takes to Centre Court to defend his title.

When the games are finished, the strawberries and champagne have been packed away and the covers are safely back on the courts, Clare Balding presents a round-up package-cum-chat show for which she'll be joined by tennis stars of the past as well as the odd celebrity guest. Together they'll look over the day's major events, upsets, controversies and talking points. As well as all this you can use that indispensable red button on your handset to switch between as many matches as the Beeb has cameras at - five if you're blessed with a TV package other than Freeview, three if you're not. From 9pm the same service will be running a highlights loop and all in all there's 153 hours of tennis coverage to look forward to over the coming 13 days. That much is certain. What we don't know is whose names are going to be on the winners' trophies at the end of it all.
