Glenn Moore’s new stand up show ‘Glenn Glenn Glenn, How Do You Like It, How Do You Like It’ is on at Just The Tonic at The Tron from August 3 - 26 (except 13th).

  • What is your Fringe show about?

My last couple of shows have been me chatting complete nonsense and telling very long joke-filled stories that clearly aren't true. This year I've ditched that in favour of full, raw honesty, and truthful storytelling. It's about me being selected for the first civilian mission to Mars.

  • How many times/many years have you appeared at the Fringe?

This’ll be my third stand-up show, but my sixth time going there for the whole month, and my ninth consecutive year of going for any time at all. I’ve got no idea what Edinburgh looks like outside of the Fringe.

  • What’s your most memorable moment from the Fringe?

I told my mum just before my first solo show that I was worried about hecklers, and she told me it’d be fine. About a week in, I got heckled and it turned out it was my mum. She didn’t know that’s what heckling was. Thanks mum.

  • What’s the worst thing about the Fringe?

Spending far too much money on a large poster only for it to be defaced in an alarmingly sexual manner within the first couple of days.

  • If you were not a performer what would you be doing?

I’d be hopefully preparing for the first civilian mission to Mars, the subject of of my show, that I’ve just realised I should be plugging, and would likely be remiss of me to forget. Yes...yes, that’s what I’d be doing!

  • How do you prepare for a performance?

I have a banana, two glasses of water, and then spend eight months writing a show.

  • Favourite thing about being in Edinburgh?

With all the pressure of performing a show you’ve spent a year on, it’s exhilarating being in a permanent state of mild panic attack for a month. There’s no other place to get that feeling, so thank you.

  • What’s the most Scottish thing you’ve ever done?

Been an independent sovereign state until the early 1700s. They were different times, I was a different person.

  • Favourite Scottish food/drink?

Quaker Oats for both. No better way to start the day than with a bowl of those, and no better way to end it than necking a pint of wet oats at the pub. ‘A meal in a glass’ they call it.

  • Sum up your show in three words

Elegant...mysterious...parfum
